TW Steel Tempus Fury – The Bike Shed

  • By cannonball

It’s often said that owners are like their dogs, I’ve seen enough combos to be in agreement. The same is also true for some bike builders. Anthony Partridge is a feisty dude with more energy packed into his squat frame than a classroom full of over Haribo’d toddlers. Not surprising then that this fire breathing drag bike is what rolled off his bench at Goblin Works Garage when Dutch watch brand TW Steel asked for a collab build.

2018 Kawasaki Z900RS Teased

  • By cannonball

While other firms are making much of their heritage to plunder sales in the neo-retro bike scene, Kawasaki has been slow to follow suit.
Sure, it’s had the W800 twin on sale in Europe, but that Bonneville-alike never reached American shores and has now ceased production. And anyway, the era in Kawasaki’s history that really tugs the heart strings is the 1970s – and the Z1 in particular – rather than the 1960s W1 that the W800 harks back to.

These Photos Show The Husqvarna 701 Vitpilen In Production Form

  • By cannonball

Husqvarna made a huge splash when they released the Svarpilen and Vitpilen concepts two years ago. As a brand, Husqvarna has been passed around to several parent companies, each time taking on the new owner’s persona. But this was a new direction. This showed that Husqvarna could be something different. Better yet, something new.

Motorcycle Riding In The Rain And Wind

  • By cannonball

Depending on your experience, skill, preparation and risk tolerance, riding a motorcycle in the rain can be anything from frightening to fun. In any case, it is at least more complicated, potentially more hazardous, and afterward, your bike will need a bath.

Some riders avoid rain, but others, especially in areas with more annual rainfall, learn to deal with it. And odds are if you ride long and far enough, sooner or later you’ll be confronted with it, willingly or not.

It’s safe to say all the #Cannonballers from this past #ScotlandCannonball can ride in the Rain and the Wind.

Inside Ducati: MCN walk around the Bologna factory

  • By cannonball

Ever since March 1946 motorcycles have been built by Ducati at their current factory in Bologna, although the company has expanded considerably both in terms of models made and volume produced since those day. Nowadays the facility sees around 55,000 bikes roll off its production lines with 500 workers employed solely to ensure that during the high season, 350 bikes are built every single day. And that’s just one area of the facility located on Via Antonio Cavalieri Ducati (the three Cavalieri brothers founded the firm in 1926, their father was Antonio) in the Borgo Panigale district of Bologna.

  • By cannonball

Solar powered cars have been around for over 60 years. However, the first solar powered motorcycle didn’t hit the market until 2009. When the first solar motorcycle was launched, Wired author Rhett Allain and other critics wondered if it was a viable product or a novelty doomed to fail.

5 Futuristic Motorcycles That Arrived Early And Are Already Here

  • By cannonball

The Lotus C-01 is the emobodiment of what futuristic motorcycles will look like. It is a combination of state of the art racing technology and an amazing futuristic look. The Lotus C-01 is designed by Daniel Simon who is best known for his works on Tron’s Legacy Light Cycles and Oblivion’s Bubbleship, which makes it appear like it came out directly from a sci-fi film. Only 100 units of this motorcycle were made and all has been sold.
