If Koenigsegg Made A Motorcycle, It Might Look Something Like This

  • By cannonball

Koenigsegg makes one type of vehicle, and one type only: two-door, two-seat, mid-engined supercars. Thought they’ve carried different names, varying types of powertrain boost, and growing levels of output, they’ve all been based around the same platform. And though it’s toyed with the idea of expanding into different bodystyles, it’s likely to stick largely with the same formula – however evolved – for the foreseeable future.

But what if it didn’t? What if Koenigsegg set about making another type of motor vehicle altogether? What if it made – oh, I dunno… a motorcycle? The result may very well look something like this.

  • By cannonball

Vanguard Moto Inc. is a combination of two fellows: Motorcycle designer Edward Jacobs (whom I briefly overlapped with at Pratt’s Industrial Design program) and entrepreneur and supply chain expert Francois-Xavier Terny. Together the two have devised a unique vehicle: The Vanguard Roadster, a frameless, modular motorcycle that targets the premium market without breaking the bank.

Girl Meets World on FZ-07 Motorcycle

  • By cannonball

Well, I didn’t quite expect my first day in a southern-ish state to be so….. southern, but fortunately while things continued to be a bit rough on this east coast tour aboard the Yamaha FZ-07 , the road itself always offers redemption.

Stepfather abused her for years – then these motorcycle bikers do the only right thing

  • By cannonball

This story begins terribly – with something that no child should ever have to suffer. Ever.

“Jennifer”, whose name has been changed to protect her privacy, was only 10 when her nightmare began.

Jennifer was a happy, lively, and brave little girl. But when her mother remarried, things quickly deteriorated.

Own This Harley MT500 Military Motorcycle With Zero Miles on It

  • By cannonball

From 1993-2000, Harley’s York, Pennsylvania, factory is believe to have produced fewer than 500 MT military motorcycles. Now’s your chance to own one with 0 miles on it. The “brand new” bike is one of the rarest Harleys ever because of the extremely low production numbers. It’s powered by a Rotax engine and outfitted with military gear like a plastic gun case and ammo panniers that look right at home on a bike covered in a green military paint job. The bike will cross the auction block at Bonham’s Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction this Thursday, January 26th.

The BMW S 1000 RR Monster Is A 269 HP Turbocharged Street Monster

  • By cannonball

On its own, the BMW S 1000 RR boasts enough power to scare the daylights out of any avid rider. However, for Steven Decaluwe of Belgium-based Motokouture Motorcycles, fear isn’t in his bag of tricks. So what does he decide to do? Well, install a turbocharger of course.

The motivation came from Steven’s desire to show off the capabilities of both the chassis and the electronic riding aids of the bike. So, he installed a Garrett turbocharger neatly between the bike’s custom fuel tank and the airbox, hidden away to serve as a surprise to whoever’s lucky enough to give this thing a spin. Steven also had to revise the engine management software and mapping to make this happen as well. After all was said and done, though, the new bike now boasts 296 hp at the rear wheel, 107 ft.-lbs of torque and a top speed of 198mph. New air intakes were also fabricated as were the custom exhaust headers.

Review: Scrambler Ducati Desert Sled

  • By cannonball

You don’t need to be a regular reader to know that scramblers are hot. Over the last few years, the term has become the go-to marketing moniker for OEMs looking to cash in on the growing moto lifestyle. From a business standpoint it makes complete sense; the carefree attitude exuded by scramblers appeals to millennials and nostalgists alike.

But in their haste to plaster ‘scrambler’ on everything with a high mount exhaust and less than slick rubber, the manufacturers have diluted its meaning.

I’m not taking anything away from the quality of bikes that are laying claim to this category. We’ve ridden and thoroughly enjoyed quite a few of them. But scramblers they are not. At least not in the classic sense.

A Classic Motorcycle With a Very Modern Heart

  • By cannonball

Its vintage appearance could hardly be more convincing. With its long, angular petrol tank, bicycle-style saddle, unsuspended “hard-tail” frame, and wide handlebar sweeping back from below a large, sticking-up headlight, the Black Douglas Sterling looks – to all but a fairly expert eye – like a roadster from motorcycling’s pioneering days of a century ago.

  • By cannonball

The duo Great Japan, formed by designers Vladimir Panchenko and Artem Smirnov, unveils Samurai, an impressive motorcycle concept made of carbon fiber. An imposing and powerful motorcycle that pays tribute to Japanese design, between minimalism and efficiency, but also to the traditions and history of Japan. An awesome motorcycle with a radical design!
