2017 Sure Sidecar 1 Results: Birchalls Claim 5th Isle of Man TT Win (+Video)

or the fifth time of their Isle of Man TT career, brothers Ben and Tom Birchall claimed a Sure Sidecar TT win.

The Mansfield brothers completed their latest victory, Monday’s Sure Formula Two Sidecar race, in record-breaking fashion with a new outright Sidecar lap record of 117.119mph around the 37.73-mile Mountain Course.

The IEG Racing LCR riders finished 25.6 seconds ahead of Silicone Engineering/Barnes Racing Honda’s John Holden/Lee Cain. Claiming third were DMR/A&J Racing Yamaha’s Dave Molyneux/Dan Sayle; this was Molyneux’s 30th podium in his 50th TT start.
